No body clock issues here.......What's a pressing board?

July 21st, 2005 (5:08 am). A quick night’ sleep and a shower and we’re ready to tackle our first full day in Beijing.

For those of you following this journal because your coming to China shortly, I have just a few pieces of information that you may have been wondering about. We are staying at the Radisson. The room has versions of American electrical outlets and other outlets our plug-ins will fit into, all over the room. We do not have an iron in our room; instead we have a ‘pressing board’.

The hotel supplies us with two standard size bottles of drinking water each day. There is also no shortage of bad American television programs to choose from.

For the rest of you, Christe was out like a light and the beds are not nearly as hard as everyone claimed. I heard they’re worse in the provinces, however. Christe woke up about 4:30 am and decided I should be up as well. So we’re off to the front desk (not to ask about the internet) to get some answers! The hair dryer doesn’t work! I’ll post later if I can get into the web.
